What should we be educating about for the future?
SOS is an organization devoted to exploring this question and how it pertains to our ability to sustain ourselves on this planet. We are making a feature length documentary film, offering sustainability/filmmaking workshops and curriculum to schools, and creating a sustainability-themed youth-based social network for kids to share their ideas and visions for the future of the planet.
SOS is seeking the most sustainably-directed educational endeavors around the world to showcase in the film. Does your school integrate sustainable practices into its educational landscape or curriculum? Does your school have an innovative approach to engaging students through inspiration and creativity? Is your school doing something you feel is really helpful for the health of your community or the planet? If so, please contact us! We would love to hear more about what you are doing and share it with the world.

We designed our workshops to engage students in active participation and creative thinking. Students will be guided through concepts such as the interconnectedness of everything, how to re-imagine our world, how to see sustainability as an exciting opportunity, and more. They will learn how to build a compelling story as well as the technical skill sets needed to create films, enabling them to share their ideas with the world.

We are developing a new kind of social network. The online platform will give youth around the world a dedicated space for sincerely sharing their ideas or vision for the future of the world, and for that matter, the future of their lives. The network will be informed by our interconnectedness with the planet as a foundation for inspiration. As the generations using the internet for connecting with each other inherit the stewardship roles of the Earth, they will have already been deeply engaged in the act of democratically creating the world they want as a global society. This network is aimed to further the connective possibilities for this process to unfold.
